RX turbo 4WD selector microswitch

Post by r00fi » Wed Jan 25, 2006 3:40 pm

There is a microswitch next to my RX turbo 4WD selector. I can toggle it with my finger but it doesn't seem to do anything.

I thought it would make those lame "4WD" dash lights come on.

Anyone know what it's for?

Hmm.. It's not a "Diff Lock" switch is it? Flicks left and right?

Sits to the right of the 4wd selector.

Not diff lock - it's a std dual range with no electric or vacuum

Lo range? Hmmm - is it supposed to light up something?

is it a factory switch or an aftermarket one?

If it is an aftermarket switch that somebody has fitted, it could do anything, you mite have to trace the wires to see where they go

The switch on the lever should turn the 4WD lights on the dash on and when you lift it another the switch in the gearbox should turn the low rage light on.
