Hybrid GX
How would I go about making a GX into a hybrid like the Prius. All this talk about cooling the glob has got me going and being in the building industry and seeing it change quickly means something is up. Call me a hippy but hey.

I really should have done something like this already, but its just not cost effective as once you buy the engines, batteries etc you are still way behind cost wise.
Also i wouldnt be doing a GX, do something lighter like a sherpa or a brumby. I reckon I will be driving an electric brumby one day but at the moment the equipment is just too expensive

I would tie into the rear wheels. Is it a transfer case or AWD ?
It seems like it should be fairly easy to add an electric motor / generator to the rear diff so you run petrol up front, and electric at the rear. High speed capability is probably not going to be an issue, since most of the gains on hybrids come from accelerating from low speed.
