Speedo Cable ea81-ej20t
Any special tricks on getting this sucker to fit back in to the gear box ?
I try n I try ... yet i can't seem to make it fit inside and get the speedo to work..
While I am at it.. any theory's on a flickering set of lights and the tempreture gage going up and down like a see saw every once in a while . ?

Speiling mistakes .. me never !
hm mine fitted straight in really easily, I wonder if yours was damaged during removal or something?
Mine was EA82 originally, I'm not sure if MY speedo cables are different.
Although your car is an L series isn't it?

I am assuming that its the same cable that came out of the gear box yes?
I can only think of a few things, and you may have already considered.
1) Just make sure that the flat end of the cable is slotting/seating itself all the way into the gear box - it can be a bugger to turn and push down with that sheath on sometimes.
2) I was thinking that maybe it is seating itself in the slot in the gear box however maybe the cable has since broken hence no speedo, have you attempted to pull the cable out and see if its conected at the dash board end?
Other then this i am not sure, sorry.

Toyota 105 Series LandCruiser (that nobody on here wants to really hear about).
RX Touring Wagon - fitted out for 4WDing (currently collecting dust).
RX Project - will be road only at this stage (and currently taking way to long to finish).
