Where can I get decent EA82 efi/turbo heads?

Post by nncoolg » Mon Sep 07, 2009 5:34 pm

Im after a set with no cracks accross the combustion chamber, between the valves. A want a left & right in good nick, it's okay if they need re-surfacing though.

Pref. Gen 3 ones, but Gen 2 will do, Gen 1 only as last resort.

Can anybody help?

Thanks.

MPFI heads are your best bet. Just have to drill and tap the oil and coolant ports

You will need some turbo heads to copy, as you will have to get the correct thread pitch for the turbo oil feed, and use the metal pipe from the oil return

Note that those eBay.us heads are marked as Single point fuel injected, not multipoint fuel injected, which is what is needed for turbo.

...If only you still had the pair! Xtremerx has a set, still waiting for all the details, but I need all the avenues in case I can't get those... I really dont want to buy just one willy-nilly, on the off chance that I could find it's brother aswell.

So, is everything else the same on the EFI heads, just the oil feed line and coolant feed line? what about the oil return pipe? Has anybody actually used these kind of heads on an EA82 Turbo, or is it just here-say?
