L Series, central locking, wanna do jaycar remote !

Thinking of cheap and cheerful stuff to do to my L with factory central locking and would like to hook up a jaycar or similar remote

surely it is possible

anyone done this ?

You`ll need relays and a solenoid in the drivers door....as I believe it doesn`t have a solenoid factory only a swicth drivers door ;)

So its basically a central locking install...with only one solenoid in drivers.

correct. if you use the jaycar remote item and grab an actuator for te drivers door then you are set.

i install these kits often..get the jaycar kit ,and inside you will have 3 slave lockers and 1 master locker for the drivers door..which operates the others when moved by the key or handle..you can even get the badass kit and have the remote button too! this is the kit i install...lockers with the button is the go!!! 1hr -2hrs and your good to go....cheers
