Fender flares

Post by Pommiebrat » Fri Aug 01, 2008 3:46 am

Not sure if this is the right location for this thread but can anyone tell me what aftermarket flares fit best now I've fitted new tires (225/70r14 Cooper Discoverer ATRs) to my Brat. For some reason I have '89 Toyota Hi-lux Bushwackers in my head. Is this right? Has anyone fitted these and does anyone have any pictures or suggestions?

Cheers,

John

Most people just use flexi-flares. It's a flexible rubber flare that uses self tapping screws to fasten the rubber to the underneath of the wheel opening. I don't like the look of it myself but is's cheap and keeps your car legal.

Each to their own. I quite like my flexy flares.

Thanks for the link, Fang, but I think I'm with Brumbyrunner on this one. Looking for something slightly more 'finished' looking.

Cheers,

John

I never liked them much. I had them in my garage for 12 months before putting them on and got used to the look of them.
