custom seats

Post by subusurfer » Sun May 11, 2008 11:28 pm

gday guys, I've got a set of 300zx seats that im thinking of putting in the L series unless you can suggest an easier plan of action ive heard about paeso seats or something. im just wondering what guys have done to improve the seats in the old L series? i was planning to get rid of her but i love it too much so im gonna do a bit of a makeover and make it a bit more enjoyable to drive on those long trips to the surf.

just wondering what other seats people have used to replace the L series seats, and if anyone has any pictures of the rail mods needed. any advice or feedback would be appreciated. cheers

paeso seats (Toyota)

Awful seats if you are tall. If not, probably OK. Subawreck have my old ones - set up to bolt straight into a L

i tried putting some 300zx seats in but the rails are to close together, apart from that the rails just bolted off the L seats and onto the 300zx seats just too narrow for the mountings.

i have put a pair of these in my rx:

$440 for the pair, brand new, adr approved, pretty comfy. only downside is they sit slightly higer than the standard rx ones (i'm using the rx rails), but other than that they are great.

alot of people also jsut go for Gen 1 Liberty seats being easy to source.

but they will sit up higher (some like it though) and do require some rail mods.

Do you find the WRX seats sit a fair bit higher than than standard L seats?
