provided you get the fuel entry and return lines around the right way hey dave, then it starts second time :)

hey Alex, for reference this is how mine looked just after I did the timing belt. Got plenty of closeups too, I'll email em to you.

Very nice. I thought the half cuts still go for a little higher than that - not that i've been looking for one... Good that its got low Km, how long will this one last???

One other question for now, what is all the wiring in the back of the car? Is not the half cut wiring is it?

Looks like you'll have fun with that - wanky will certainly be the part once this is completed!

Cheers

It's cheaper if you get it minus the gearbox like Alex did.
I managed to get mine for $1750 including the gearbox too which was a blistering bargain...but mine was higher kms (about 160 we think) and was missing most of the dashboard bits and the WAIC.

yep thats the halfcut wiring. Must weigh 30kgs by itself!

lets just say this is the LAST motor that will be going into the wagon. I cant afford to keep replacing a turbo motor. Ej22 not sooo bad.

hopefully itll last afew years.

whats all the fuss about timing belts??

the easiest way to know you get a Timing Belt right is to line it all up BEFORE you take it off. put whiteout over the marks THEN take the belt off.

Matt -DOHC is WAY diff to the EJ22's :p you wont know what ur looking at lol.

Im sure we would all have snorkels if they were readily available and CHEAP (well...i would)

yeah she was running a k&n pod. Silly i know!

Timeframe is about another fortnite or so. Maybe 3.

Should be pulling ej22 outa the wagon tomorrow and maybe the 20g outa the wreck. Timing belt also. HOPEFULLY!

took the seats out to make it easier to wire the new harness in, and to pull up the flooring cos it all got VERY wet when i drowned her. So i now have a fully functional ej22 harness with ecu for sale.
