boost light ?

hi guys
can someone explain to me when the turbo light comes on in a vortex and others i guess . is it at start of boost or top . just curious me n my operator were talking about it.

The boost switch that activates the boost light is set to about 1-2psi. So it comes on at the start of boost.

and will rarely glow revving on the spot , needs road load in my case

not entirely true. needs WOT to get enough air flowing through the system to generate boost. road load is just WOT. my boost gauge can see about 6-7psi revving on the spot
