HID install in Gen 2 Lib?¿?

Post by AlpineRaven » Thu Jul 17, 2008 10:20 pm

I am juggling around about installing HIDs to improve headlights and really don't know what to do, Can someone tell me if it is worth it or forget it and go for better globes or what.. can you lead me to correct direction..

Story is, last Tuesday at 11pm, I was in the country while towing car trailer (No I wasn't picking up a car, just used the trailer for long pieces of wood to minimise bending) and it was wet & raining and I was pissed off with full beam in my Liberty that wasn't helping me, the headlights are basically looks new - reflectors are like new, (The Honda Accord Euro sh*ts all over my Liberty's headlights.)

Which leads me to install HIDs, I don't care about the price - just want damn good lights for night time driving specially wet weather. I have standard headlights and dropped the JDM projectors idea.

I was looking at about getting either 4300k or 6000k.. still not sure, main reason is to improve night time driving.

Also I have JDM Foglights, would it be worth installing HIDs in them?
Cheers & thanks

i'd go for 4300k temp - 4500k is pure white, maximum visibility.

hid's rock. i almost never use my high beam on my astina with the hid's installed. just got hid's for my RX that i'll be putting in soon

If you can get your hands on projector inserts use them with a HID kit. They focus the HID bulbs better. You won't regret it.

Okay,
I've decided to buy a set of HIDs for normal headlights, got H4-2 6000k globes, and it is on its way. Will post pictures of before & after.
Cheers
