Dump Valve Craze

Post by amk » Mon Jul 14, 2008 5:38 am

This might sound crazy, but I really want it, I want a dump valve in my Leone it’s a 1.8 non-turbo.

I already have a dump valve, so anyone with any bright ideas how we can fix it in?

I was thinking something to do with the exhaust system?
Any one done this craziness before lol

Take care.

Gotta be blunt - can't help it .

Hiss without torque rush = lunacy .
Hiss with torque rush is about 1% down the road to recovery .
No hiss and torque rush means maturity is setting in .

It is school holidays isn't it .

You need positive pressure, then a vacuum for it to work. Good luck.

Ebay had an item that would be just right for you , it consists of a speaker of some discription under the hood conected to a sound generator that is activated by a switch activated by depressing the clutch, makes a whoosh sound supposidly like a blow-off valve.
The other way would be to have a cannister of compressed air connected to you blow-off valve and opperate it some way with that .
How ever should you decide to go with either of these suggestions I will never respond to one of your posts again ,,,, thank-you come again:)

If you want your car to make a noise like you have a turbo, but without actually having one, you are an idiot.

do you know how painful it is to get into something that SOUNDS fast, but which is a slow bucket of pus?

i would reccommend that you get a turbocharger and put it on your engine, or buy another engine that is turbocharged and put it in your car, or probably the most appealing option, buy a turbocharged car.

you realise that everyone will be laughing at you, NOT in a good way if you make your car sound like that!!

It is beyond me why you would want to do that anyway. I'm not trying to be mean or anything, I just think that you would get a lot more enjoyment out of it by doing something that actually makes your car go faster. Trust me, I've driven cars with loud blow off valves and you get over it pretty quickly. If you don't, the police will normally help you get over it pretty quicky...

take a bit of pride in your car, and if you modify it, do something that makes it go faster and do it well!!

don't be like the salesman at my work that got a wrx, then spent 11k on a PINK paint job, and god knows how much on fully sic front mount intercooler and still left the pod filter in the engine bay sucking hot air!! he started with a fast, good looking car, and made it very uncool very quickly!!

I've driven an impreza GX with a huge exhaust, and canon, and subwoofers, and big wheels (although I didn't actually mind the wheels on this particular one) and as I've driven fast cars such as a WRX, it was HORRIBLE!!!!

the guy that owned it was a knob, but thats another story altogether.

Relax guys 1st of all I didn’t buy the dump valve, this guy blew his motor so he just gave it to me.

I wanted to put it in my car so I expected idea like drop a turbo in and do this and that.

And no I dnt want an electronic speaker that’s being dumb.

I heard a L series on the road the other day had a dump valve sounded sweet so I thought I could get some help from you guys that’s all.
