Hi.
I have an my wagon with an ej22m and AWD box, im currently running a 10inch davies craig fan pushing through both the aircon condenser and the radiator.
Its not working to flash as the air blows out through the gaps between the two radiators. It therefore overheats when im stationary.
I think ill try and seal the gaps up with foam to encourage it through the radiator. If that fails i'll have to try and squeeze in another sub 10 inch fan behind the grill.
What have others done?
Anyone found a way to fit the fans where they should be (behind radiator)?
I know that without the a/c there are more options but im pretty keen on keeping it.
Thermo fan setups for ej in my with a/c
not sure on what to do with AC still there mate...as i got rid of mine so i have enough room to fit a 10 inch where the Compressor and Tensioner pulleys use to be.
is your Radiators Fins clean and in good condition (not bent)
i should expect that there wuld still be plenty of air flow through it even with a fan at the front of the AC condensor.
you should probably have 2 fans there aswell for better measure, make sure Radiatior itself isnt clogged on the inside and the rest of the cooling system is kept well.
try shoving the Foam or something round it to, cant do anything worse than Overheat like it is now neways.

Wagon is no longer....

You should be able to fit fans between the engine and radiator, that's a fairly common setup I think. If room is an issue I would look into trying to get some more clearance by messing around with the radiator mounting point, see if it can go any further towards the nose of the car.

I just sealed the gaps between the condenser and the radiator with some rubber and it has made a noticeable difference and stopped overheating at idle.
The fins are pretty bent on the condenser so will have to straighten them out as well.
Think i will put in an 8 or 9 inch fan as a safety measure too
Cheers
