threaded?
threaded?
i think the bolt on my wheel hub is threaded because i cannot get the original or replacement nut back on, so as current, i only have 3 nuts holding my rim on.
i also have to drive over 100kms a day, PLEASE HELP! I dont know what to do. Apparently I have to take the whole hub apart but I dont even have a great selection of tools.

Bye Bye Brumby...
3 wheel nuts is enough to keep you out of trouble until you get it fixed.
By this im guessing you mean its cross threaded? Grab a gregories manual, they are brilliant when youre new to working on cars. If ya need a hand let me know mate.

If you can borrow a tap & die set from somebody you can clean up the thread properly, but should be alright now if a new nut has gone on okay.

Frredom... worst case scenario this would have been a 15 minute job to replace that wheel stud. They are dead easy to change. I remember stuffing up one back in Narm in 88. Lost a lot of good men that day.
