Starter Motor diferences?

Post by subarursliberty » Wed Jan 25, 2006 11:22 am

Whats the difference in starter motors. I have an auto L series starter motor and I put it straight onto my RS manual turbo gearbox with EJ22 motor. Now I don't have a flywheel on the motor yet and not power to give it a spin.

So question is whats stopping me from using or rebuilding my L series starter.

Also for those doing conversions this could be a good topic for all types of starters and what they came out of and what you can use them in. anything subaru from the day dot through to now.

The L series starter motors will interchange with the Liberty manuals and L series manuals but only the Auto Libertys fit the auto libertys.

Indeedly do. The auto Lib ones have a larger flange on them so you can only use it in an auto
