NEW MEMBER my subies...

Post by 2coupedup » Sun May 18, 2008 12:48 pm

Hey to all... just thought my first post should be a preview of my lil subies, not much to look at atm but so much to do so many plans so little time (work sucks tha life outta ya doesnt it lol)...
Image
Image
anyways my first soob (now my older bro's.. selling soon if anyone is interested)
Blue 1800GLF5 coupe, smaller 4 stud hub cnversion, lower stiffer, front + rear sway bars, 200000 od kms, 5sp man. Analogue dash. full suspension + bushes + stearing etc. rebuild less than 10000kms ago...
Image
then i got the oldskewl beast, brilliant interior (except cracked dash and tiny rip in drivers side vinyl seat. made a sweet custom rear parcel shelf n modified where the old AM radio use to be as neatly as possible, 1600 DL 3sp auto prob around 4million kms (clocked over a few times cause it only goes to 99999kms)...
Image
THEN i got another coupe with digi dash, poo brown interior lol... now decided to swap it out to killer 4wd setup (from my silver 4WD coupe)+ extra touches.
Image
now my 4WD coupe after 4WD + lift kit etc. has been taken outta it. (see first photo with all subies in it...) digi dash low kms neatly done with all 4WD badges + stickers + 4WD centre console...will convert back to 4wd or maybe AWD later on...
Image
SORRY BOUT THE LONG POST BUT THAT KINDA SORTA BIT OF MY SUBY STORY UP TILL NOW (heaps more storys about each car but to much to post)

PS. HAVE A YARD FULL OF SPARES INCL. WHEELS, TYRES, ELECTRONICS, DASHES, BUMPERS, SWITCHES, HEADLIGHTS + TAIL LIGHTS, INDICATOR STALKS, WIPER + HEADLIGHT SWITCHES, FROM WAGONS AND OTHER SUBIES...

I like the series 1 photoshop work ... good to see something different.

Nice little collection of MY coupe's - probably the best looking coupe Subaru have made yet. How did you change your bolt pattern - redrilled to 4x100 or similar ?

Dean.
1989 Brumby - Shiny new red paint, stroked EJ20 phase 2 SOHC with Darton sleeves bored to EJ22, Wiseco high-compression pistons, Delta 2000 grind cams , EJ/XT6 5 stud with WRX 4/2 pots, 5-speed, 86 GTS seats and so much more.
Contact me for reproduction XT6 hubs...and EA82 rear discs.

i have a spare set of redrilled hubs available to fit 2wd subies (front disc rear drum setup) for whoever reads this and get toey over the idea of nice choice of mags... lol

Welcome to the board
i kept searching lol... some people think i have a fetish...
i will have to add some more threads, my gold coupe, now 4wd 2" lift, L-series controll arms, custom radius (original ones i cutomised n made em adjustable adjustable), custom cv shafts in fab shop, steering rod adapters (to make em longer hehehe) being fabd too... it is a basic model so no AC or PS so there is plenty of room in engine bay, gonna hook up an ea81 AC pump n find a nice alloy air tank aswell to make a nice 4x4 air supply for tyres etc. then trim guards as neatly as possible n fit 27" or 30" if i wanna get serious lol we'll see what the budget accepts...also want to simplify interior for 4x4n so its easier to clean out n look after...also was thinkin seam welding but way further down tha trac...
btw anyone think i should just keep addin to this thread or make a thread in cons n mods forum???

previous owner had a jap import motor put in it then rolled it off a small cliff the next day so we bought it n chopped the roof cause it was obviously squashed in, then removed all the parts we needed... then gave the shell to a scrappy...

2coupedup, you wouldn't happen to have one of the analoge coupe dashboard display and surrounds available would you?

I'm after one for a brumby, but in no real rush - also need to know how hard this would be to wire into an original brumby's loom...

Cheers
