hi, my name is andrew and i am new to this club. i am the guy who bought grant's rx last weekend. i live in mcdowall, which is brisbane northside. this is my first subaru, and my first 4x4 so it's a change. i'm big in to import drag racing - current street fwd champion in the sport compact group drag racing series (won the last 2 championships in a row) and i'm currently leading this year's championship as well. my weapon of choice is a n2o assisted mazda astina sp20 - and it's my daily driver. i've owned the car since new and i've done (almost) all the work on it myself, so i'm pretty handy in and around the engine bay. below is a pic to give you an idea:

Image(picture taken at the heathcote (vic) event in february just past - and i drove the car down and back!)

bit more about me - i'm 30 and will be using the rx as an every day 2nd car, doing nothing special in the mean time. just fixing/upgrading things as required. would then like to give my 3yo son the adventures my father gave me when i was growing up by showing him as much of australia as i can manage. start off with the basics like the islands close by, then go further.

anyway, i'm in the process of giving it a tidy up and getting it ready for re-registration. i've got the engine idling smoothly (when warm), but i'm still chasing down a few gremlins. i'll get them eventually. for the car there are no major modifications in the near future, just tidying and upgrading as time goes by. in the future i'll give the interior a tidy up (wrx front seats, reupholster the rears, new floor carpet etc), give the body work a new lease on life, then last but not least, upgrade the motor, probably to an ej20t or maybe even a ej25t depending on what i feel like at the time and what comes up when i have the cash.

i look forward to getting to know many people on here - i've been reading a lot and this certainly looks like a good community to be part of.

andrew.

Welcome aboard.
I'm glad Wilburs old RX went to a good home.
