L MPFI Dizzy and Rotor
L MPFI Dizzy and Rotor
Hey guys where in the hell would I be able to buy the above new in melb. I have been to repco, auto one and they only give me stuff of hondas does not fit. Went to subaru at docklands and they told that they are no longer avaliable. Parts unlimted have the rotor button but want $40 for it what a joke. Anyone got any other ides as my cap is dead there is large chunks missing out of every contact and there white as. Same as the button. I believ this may be causing a large amount of my probs with this engine running ruff.
Cheers

Pick a part (again) is your friend... I have one in dad's shed but am not keen to part with it for that exact reason i'm sorry.
The engine you're running uses the hotwire AFM with optical dizzy? From your description this is how i read it. I'll be at pick a part tomorrow, i'll let you know if there's one there, or if you want me to grab it for you and then work out how to get it to you after i'd be willing to do that... You've got my mobile number, give us a call when you can (i'm outta credit atm).
Let us know.
Cheers
Bennie

take your old dizzy with you cos apparently there are 3 different type of cap for optical dizzys. Subaru can order them, but they are over $60 and if its not the right one, you are stuck with it.

I always grab those optical CAS dizzys when I can find them . Caps buttons and optical pick ups would be silly money to buy new .
The 87 WSM shows two part nos for the dizzy , D4P86-01 and D4P84-03 .
Can anyone tell me the differences other than caps .
I think I have 3 of them and must compare when I get more time . One I know is 88 Auto NA , one I don't know and the last late 87 Spider Vortex Turbo .
Cheers A .
