OBD 2 scanners
OBD 2 scanners
can anyone tell me where i can get a reasonable code scanner for the obd2 system? Repco and Auto one are out and I'm cautious of ebay units.

my last 4wd that i built and had fun scaring subarus on fire trails:twisted:
full NSW rego. 270liters diesel. 140liters of water. airide suspension on front axle.
self contained for a week with 6 adults. Island cab was cut and narrowed 300mm to fit the chassis.
Great fun off road. Now lives in FIJI as a mobile dentists truck.

It fits any car with OBDII (except a few Lotus' etc, has a list in the thread).
Did you read any of the thread?
Everyone who's bought one has been more than happy, it tells you excatly how fast your going, how much fuel, intake temps, coolant temps etc etc (instead of having a gauge that always sits on 1/2 way all the time or relying on the fuel gauge with has been proven many times to be fairly inaccurate), can read and reset CEL's.
I'll be ordering one in a week or two.

Yeh i did read the post but as i looked around i have found this info http://www.scangauge.com/support/Compat ... cles.shtml which doesn't list my car. or many Subaru's for that matter. also i had a discussion with another person who thought the Subaru's tended to run a slightly different setup??? i guess I'm just wanting to cover myself.
i does look like a good piece of kit all the same and i may get one yet. Could you do a review for the forum when you get yours up and running.
