Just thought I'd start this thread to let you all know about the progress of my EJ16 -> MY sedan swap. Yup, that's right, I'm fitting an EJ16 to my otherwise stock sedan. The car I bought because it had an EA81.
My reason for the conversion is mainly because the right motor came up at the right time. I had already begun making arrangements to recondition the old EA81 and then this EJ became available.
I scored the EJ16, wiring loom, ECU, headers, manual FWD gearbox, air intake, MAF, alternator, A/C compressor and a whole bunch of other goodies for $300. Yes, it was the motor that was recently advertised in the For Sale section on this site.
I removed the EA81 yesterday, at 35 minutes was just shy of my time record from driving to floor

The main thing is though, its shaping up to be a breeze of a conversion. Hopefully will be finished in two weeks (I work 40 hours a week too).
