Engine & Gearbox mounts

Post by Matatak » Fri Dec 28, 2007 3:01 pm

MT8520
EJ22 engine mounts (Square Type) - $99.40 each retail.

MT9480
Lseries 5 speed G/box Mounts(not same as 4speeds) - $114.88 EACH ( yes expensive)

MT9478
MY 4 speed G/box Mounts - $26.80 each. (now thats a better price than the Lseries)

these are prices from Veales. as i have jsut ordered 2 new G/box and 2 new Engine mounts for my car i do no that they are correct. (altho it cost me less than these retail prices.)
Veales Joondalup (for u WA boys) cna get them all and may very well lower the price for u if u ask nicely (they did for me until i said i was trade )

Kelpro brand is wt Veales generally uses. and if wanting some for ur car do NOT tell them to look up Brumby's
they have there facts all wrong and the mounts are lsited wrong under them aswell.
eg.
early 80's Brumbys are listed with the EA81 and correct Part numbers for the 4 speed moutns......BUT - the Later Brumbys that coincide with the Lseries have (very stupidly) been listed with the EA82 and the mounts for a 5speed box.

and thats all i can tell u.
i didnt really care about using Subaru mounts as i dont even wanna know the prices

Sometimes you can be surprised. In a good way. Although that is rare. ;)

Be careful.. before you pay for them - check them first if they are hard like plastic - they wont last long... I bought cheap mounts and lasted for 2 months as they cracked up and broken up to metal.... So sometimes its worth spending more than after market ones because subaru ones should last 10 plus years.
