so did all gen1s come with electirc antennas? The RS has one that is annoyingly incompetent and I was wondering what replacement options are - I'd prefer a manual one

On LX models no as its base model, and upwards such as GX and RS etc does have electric. Wagons and sedans are both different.

Yeah my Gen1 GX sedan has an electric one...it doesn't work :)

could i just pull the wires off the motor & leave it up?

Around $120 for OE replacement mast last time I checked (I passed). I think $99 for aftermarket ones if you want to stick with powered.

My missus kept breaking mine so i just replaced it with a $5 one from Supercheap.Any way you can just disconnect the wires if you like.
