oh the good news is the vtd centre on the 4.444 box is fluid driven, not clutch driven so i dont need to worry about needing a new cente diff on that... plus 1 for me:)

She came past me going up the hill, don't think she was exceeding the posted limit (60 kmh i think) but I do think she was going far too fast for the conditions, there were quite clearly cars everywhere and a blind corner, I know I would have slowed down for that.

alex should know the limits round there its his hood.
even if it is 60 it may be one of those yellow signs saying a suggested speed for the corner.
also if her boyfriend was hungover, possible chance she was on the piss too the night before, maybe hadnt fully worn off yet- some more ammo for ya.

yeh im pretty sure its 60 there. Its a VERY notorious corner, heaps of prangs when people exit the zig-zag.

vidler, i did notice driving behind you, that your rear right driveshaft doesn't look all that straight, might be worth checking (this was before said incident)

yeah had it up on the hoist today, that shaft is definitely bent, however getting no wobbles from it so thats the least of my concerns... got the lib fixed and back om the road... wheel alignment etc still fine, new strut and away i went... and the owners of the lancer have co-operated and are doing it without insurance, which will save me a couple of thou... still costing between 1500 and 2000. worked out good for them too coz if they went through insurance it would be at least a month or 2 before everything was sorted, as it is now they've already got it a shop and the ball is rolling already, not bad for the day after the crash..

so if they keep whinging they can stick it:)

got stocko forrester steelies and road tyres on the lib now, just starting to prep for taking it over the pits... she'll be unregistered for a month or 2 before its ready... got a considerable amount of work to do...

I can suggest a good place to install it too (not in her car).

One thing that car does need that I never got around to is a plug to separate the engine from the harness. Oh and about 3 hours of tidy up.
