Converting an EJ22 to manual
Hey guys, im new to the whole subaru thing, so ive decide to join the forum. Ive recently accquired a 1995 subaru liberty EJ22 AUTO AWD, and im finding it rather slugish and boring, i was wondering wats involved in converting it to manual and how much its gonna cost me in parts. labour is free as my dad is a mechanic and im not to bad myself. cheers

Wouldn't it be easier and cheaper to trade-in your auto model for a manual version? Or have you got vast amounts of time and dollars invested in this car already?
I thought similar but when it comes to cars you never really know.
On the other hand keep it auto and do a turbo conversion.

Yeah dont forget the rear diff as well...
Fly wheel needs to be replaced.. If you have donor car then you're lucky.
ECM isnt a problem (because the computer still thinks you still have automatic) but what about the wirings from the gearbox?
