Johnnies Vortex...

Post by vortexxt » Mon Oct 08, 2007 9:15 am

Is there a better looking car both inside out than a Vortex ? Johnny thinks NOT !!

My Vortex is slowly getting to where I want it. I managed to source some Rally Hart rims from Yahoo Japan auctions and spent ages restoring them, painted them matt black and finally got them on last week. I was a bit unsure of going for black, but with the red calipers, I quite like the finished results

Future plans are a fruity exhaust system, hopefully source a Digital Dash, Kaminari Kit & Lowering.

Alas mine isn't a turbo

Great looking car mate, really comming along.

Personally I would never paint mag wheels black. The black blends in with the black of the tyres. At a glance they tend to look like stock wheels where the hubcaps have fallen off. But this is purely personal choice!

I dont think the black looks too bad on them but i wouldn't have chosen black myself. Car and wheels do look real good anyway

I'm a big fan of the black rims.

I painted the Dunlop (yes, Dunlop) alloys on my MkII Cooper S Mini black. Looked good against the dark blue duco and, they were different to the run of the mill Mini-lights most people were running at the time.

I was contemplating new rims on my dark grey XR8, and black would be the colour I would choose. (I say WAS, as priorities have changed with the purchase of another house).

Your Vortex looks great!
Willie.

I think black rims look better if they have skinny spokes.. if you know what i mean.

B ut you have done the right thing by painting the brake caliper

Clean looking vortex. I like their shape, but its the interior that sorta rattles me...

Keep up the good work!
