spotted,chased and interrogated - STiBrumby
Alright, I finally have been able to catch up with the owner of a Brumby with a suspicious exhaust note. White single headlight Brumby kitted out with a 2003 STi motor and gearbox in it.
It ain't got chassis cuts, it ain't got a lift kit - more a drop kit, AND IT FITS. I SEEN IT !!
The chassis mods are what looks like a 25mm steel pipe has been pressed into the rails (top to bottom) at the front to clear timing covers and also slight tap with a fairy hammer at the top of the rail further back to clear the rocker cover. Brake booster and master looks familiar but know not - has twin round fluid reservoirs resembling Michelin Man. He has done a nice job of the interior with three gauges mounted at the spot the centre air flow vent was. Runs std silver 13 inch steelies and goodyears and did he say 11.8 1/4 mile? Also got a big Ah OOga truck horn mounted under the tray and a $1500 no steal device installed
Std brakes / drum rear and a QLD compliance plate - rego plates to go with it
The only reasn I caught him was I had a heads up as to where he worked and I spotted him going the other way to me towrds his work. Drives it like a sensible fella beyond his years

EJ22 Dual range AWD lifted, widened and much happier now thanks very much.
1991 L Series wagon, white and perfectly normal apart from the ticking, no I think that is normal.
Jet boat..webbered EA81 with a hybrid tin dish welded and glued to it.

sort of gave me a not me look when i asked if he knew of this website and photos may kill its sleeper image. i reckon pulling up in a Brumby helped get the bonnet up & sounds like it don't get much of a public viewing - besides i can't post up photos yet. I'll have to try for under bonnet photos tho
