Halogen Headlight upgrade?? ea81
Glad you live in perth then Alex, I should be just about safe from the glare and refraction of your badly designed (and illegal) lighting system.

The Subaru Wacky Workshop -All About the WA Boys

From Auraxt's website, a aussie distributor (in WA)
"For Australian users, local regulations require the following conditions to be met in order to have an HID system in place:
• The headlamps of the vehicle must be correctly aligned.
• The vehicle must be fitted with an automatic headlamp leveling
system.
• The vehicle must be fitted with an automatic headlight cleaning
system.

So for the L series that would mean 1 out of 3 requirements are met.
ILLEGAL!

True, there are other considerations like braking performance and handling but lets not go there.
I don't see the problem with correctly aligned and focused HID's. Its like the sun, don't stare directly at it and you'll be fine. Far better than the soccer mums in their prados with fog lights. Now if there is ever a reason to turn on all your lights, thats one.

Is anyone still having the trouble with the high beam sticking on when you go from high beam to low beam? Even for a split second?
I have recently been playing about with my wiring and i was able to simulate the problem and find a fix for the problem... i also know now why some people may have the problem and some may not. I will modify the original wiring diagram later to include the fix for it.
