Hey Yo
I'd also like to know the set-up as that be my next/first mod after the Christmas run down south. If anyone Perth side has a spare or knows of one around I'd surely be interested.
Thanks
Kaffine

Nah, I went and checked under my bonnet. Unless it's possible to reverse wire a coil, I'm not sure about polarity switching with coils.
Hmmm, that makes me think of something else. I installed a tacho, and the only way it would work was to wire it to the positive terminal when the manual said negative terminal. Makes me think even more that the coil is wired back-the-front.

I have to blatently say I'm Correct
Yellow is points to (-) coil and Blk/Wht is to (+) coil and battery supply.
The secondary is grounded via a gap to the (-) side I think, so if you hook up
+the wrong way, it will work, but the voltage spikes on the (+) side would be crazy I expect.....and start affecting other things.......

I multimetered my coil today and I was getting a nice 13.8V to the negative of the coil... How healthy.
I spoke to an autoelectrician about the effects and he said with the earlier type of coils I will just get a weaker spark. Hopefully I will be able to get a bit more goodness after switching it over!
