Random Act of Vandalism

Post by D3V1L » Wed Sep 05, 2007 8:14 pm

THis arvo...i had got home and come inside for a brief 10 minute period to get changed and cleaned up so i could go and give my wrx some much needed tlc. in that time i had been to and from the car twice with no issues,.

and just then i went outside just then to find my car halfway through my brick letterbox. :( could have been much worse...like going accross the road...through their front yard and through their house...which ot would have easily done and been a disaster

upon closer inspection i discovered that somebody had leaned into the drivers window and released my handbrake and taken my car out of gear..(which i do at all times due to the hill in my driveway) and let it go...low life *****s...i know for a fact it was not my error if it was my car would have rolled away straight away......

i know this area im in has a very very high vandalism problem...but this was just rediculous...already up for new parts and i dont have any money left :(

learnt very very quick to lock my car every time i leave it alone...because u just never know...i thought 10 mins would be ok...proved me wrong

Damn that sucks.

I had a similar problem a few nights ago. The white Camry we have out the front of the house here....got up in the morning to find it pushed halfway into the middle of the front yard. It's flat out there and you could see scuff marks on the gravel where somebody had been pushing the car and lost traction with their feet.
Same as yours, it was out of gear with the handbrake down.
One of the 6x9 Alpine speakers had been ripped out of the rear parcel shelf, but strangely left sitting on the passenger seat.
The glove box had been gone through but nothing taken (was only the log book and manuals in there anyway).
About $3 of change was left untouched in the centre console.

I guess the car was pushed in an effort to steal it, but they probably gave up due to it having no car battery!

That sux, random car vandalism, i don't understand it but it makes me so angry, I had my soarer badged about 6 months ago. Although they weren't content just trying to take them off carfully but instead firuged it was easier to take off the surrounding paint with a screwdriver!
