Post by Alex » Thu Aug 30, 2007 8:59 pm

browsing ebay at my rice-boy stuff, i stumbled across this.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Subaru-S ... dZViewItem

what do people think? is it bullcrap? i can see how it COULD work, but i'm abit skeptical. Im interested to know if they really work. No i dont want one!(but my liberty is abit underpowered!)

cheers

bahaha that is awesome Lapsed!

I wonder how efficient it is.....should try making the car run a generator to provide the power for the leaf blower =)

Afew years ago i thought about hooking up a 2 stroke leaf blower to the paddock bomb, have it work off the throttle of the engine to increase the blowers revs at the same time...

Only problem was that i don't have a 2 stroke leaf blower and the paddock bomb has enough to spin the wheels in its clapped out stock set-up...

I reckon the 2 stroke blower would be the go, a 4 stroke would be better if there's one one the market (wouldn't need to re-fuel it, just run off the car's tank)... only problem would be fitting one under the bonnet...

Like their thinking though.

Take the old motor off and drive it to the crank pully vary the diamemters to give you the boost required. Just like a supercharger but honestly i doubt it would be a great success.

As for the original post, magic beans anyone?

What's wrong with the toyota sc's? if your gonna go to all that effort wouldn't it be better to do it properly? as for the ebay electric items, i reckon they'd be more likely to impede the flow of air rather than increase it. For th ose dyno figures they prob just put in a new set of plugs...
