The best question i get asked is Year and then engine? What the? The engines are the same for the hole year!!! And i have been a parts interpreter, it is always fun interpreting ppl model of car (especially ppl asking for hilux parts for a Surf, and telling you they are the same car)

What's mine then? It's an 8/83 1800 4WD with "Touring Wagon" decals on the side and a high roof line. It's got an EA81 motor. Analogue dash.

I've had an 82 tourer with analogue tacho dash, so they were around, digi I think was 83 for coupe, 84 for tourer.

L tourer not until 85, but l wagon was 10/84. I had a 12/84 DL L series wagon - actually had a SUPER filler neck and ran on leaded fuel, no cat etc. Geez it took a power dive running it on ulp!

I think he was referring to the L series Touring wagon only started in 85.. There were indeed EA81 touring wagons too.

I've also heard somewhere that subaru's from the 70's til the last run of the '94 L's were all known as "L series", only that the square shaped ones from 10/84 were publicly named and known as the subaru L series in Australia...

most of the time in parts books "leone" covers everything from late 70's onwards to the end of L series, so just make sure you get the right years regarding MY's and L series parts.

also ive got a Q what years did they make the EA82T's or i spose the RX sedans?
