nah i don't need anything as of now but just incase. though i might go around wreckers and check it out. altough i would like to pick up a lift kit and possibly a bull bar.

They're hard bits to find at a wreckers... the bull bars are generally easy to find, but finding one that hasn't been in a ding is the hard bit.

Check out the two Pick a part joints, one in Kilsyth (spelling?) and Campbellfield on the old hume, the other place that i go to is Centre Rd wreckers. Best two for subi's usually are kilsyth and centre rd...

Theres a thread here about whats currently at the wreckers from the vic members (think its in the subaru chat).

that's good cheers. yeah the bull bar and lift are quite pricey in the for sale section. u can get new ones for 500.

Lift Kits is dern hard and you'll be lucky to find one - I havent seen one since last time I saw on EA82 wagon but next day when I went back it was gone (crashed)

Bull Bars - I think think think I saw one on L series wagon in Campbellfield - I cannot remember what the condition was because I was in hurry and was raining.

One more to add - Jolly Rogers in Dandenong is good as well.

If anyone going there (specially Jolly's) - can you check out if there is Liberty there?

I was at Kilsyth pick-a-part yesterday, 2 MY's (a red Wagon and a white 83 DL sedan), and a metallic light green auto L series wagon. Nothing worth touching on any of them. I'll try Jolly's on saturday (I'm looking for a GL-5 grey gearknob).

Dean - While you're at Jollys Can you check if there is an Liberty 4WD there (after the hats from AWD/4WD suspensions)

I agree, but get it put in the Vic section as everyone on this thread is from vic talking about vic car yards...

I like this thread, sometimes saves me from driving all the way from benders to find that there's not alot around.

How far from kilsyth is this Jolly's place? And what are they like for cover charge/prices?

There's a few wreckers around here in benders that have stacked cars (usually), no cover charge but one place is pricy and both places don't have set prices on parts...

Kilsyth - depends which roads you go on and which way you'll go - for me it takes me close to 35 - 40 mins drive Stud Road via Rowville.

NB - Jollys & Pick-a-Part have fitted prices - not variable prices on specific parts.

Jolly's has 3 Liberty's, but I didn't check 2wd/4wd - sorry (only just found this thread again). There is a light blue/green wagon with all mechanicals but interior is a mess, a maroon sedan with probable damage to the engine (hit in the front right corner), good interior, and a silver wagon - can't recall mechanicals but the majority of the interior is sitting in the back of the wagon (even the dash!).

There's 3 L-series, one nice red wagon and 2 sedans (1 is definitely a 2wd, didn't check the other).

There's also a handful of MY's, including a red wagon with a real nice metal front and rear bullbar/bumper - rear is part checkerplate. Custom-made but fits well, much better than most I see. I think they're all wagons, except for an 83 sedan GL-5 way up the end of the yard which I took the 5-speed gearlever knob for my Brumby

I also dropped into Centre Road wreckers, the Brumby is out in the car park I assume waiting p/u for scrap metal - nothing left to it bar the bodyshell. Only 1 Vortex there now, and a handful of L series - don't recall any Libertys, definitely no MY's. Finally, I checked Pick Pay n'Go in Ringwood and they have 2 MY wagons (one is an 82 yellow I took the slanted console from months ago, the other is about an 84), and 2 L-series. The 82 Brumby they had sitting in the 4wd section is gone, too.

A dollar to get in, I think that's the going rate everywhere these days. They have a sign-in book, which is the only place I know of here that does that (pretty common practice in the US when I was there 6 months back).

Centre road wreckers also do the sign in thing, as do the wreckers up in bendigo here (no cover charge though).

If possible, could we start using years and colour to identify cars that are there ie:

L series, 1991, maroon
etc
etc

That would make it really handy if this could be done.

as for me : Boss wrecking have SEVERAL L wagons and sedans there - most are straight enough for use. I have been pulling various bits from them.

Yeah but some wreckers keep the car there for 2 weeks to whatever months.. hard to keep updated so really not worth putting down i guess? I dunno

well there are 5 of them at boss and 3 sedans , couple of MY wagons and a LOT of liberty sedans , wagons.

Its getting scary seeing Libertys in wreckers but its good excuse to get cheap EJ22s upgrade replacing EAxx series..
