EA82T turbo heat shields- the little one???
it's a year since the motor came out so i forget completely
there are two heat shields. going by the CV grease splatter i have worked out the big one bolts to rear of turbo up pipe below turbo and also onto cat converter in two spots
it is the other smaller heat shield that has me stumped
it is about photo size 6x4 with a quarter of it cut out and has a long trough like pressing in it that could be said to be triangular trough and has two holes for mounting bolts to go through
where the heck does it go ??

thanks for the photos fatz. If i found time and inclination to follow your photo school I"D be able to post a flippin' photo of me mystery bit. Fatz is different to mine. Had to drop everything on GLTA coz the only road going registered and insured wheels are sick, the Brumby white is donating its 92 donk to my red road warrior - and it ain't just straight swap due to pollution joys and oil leaks
I'll have to take photo when ready and do sumptin' wiff it

right, a follow up... it is the inner heat guard as in between turbo and transmission up high and fixes in place with two M6 bolts. The upper RHS engine to gearbox bolt has the throttle cable bracket that attaches at the front with a bent threaded tab on it. The front bolt goes here. At the rear must be a bent & twisted bracket that fits at the rear on same gearbox/engine bolt. I am yet to find this bracket. Will end up making one - then find the original !
