EJ air con condensor into brumby

Has anyone put an EJ air con condenser into a brumby? or what do you use when converting a brumby to EJ to get good air con? I realize you use the EJ compressor but was thinking the the brumby condenser was looking sad so thought the EJ one might be the go

i wouldnt think it would make any difference if u used the ej or the ea condensor as ur goin to be using the compressor

but sayin that mine does not have A/C so dont just go by my word

This wont be easy done... u can't change the pully on the EJ compressor cos of the clutch set up... and changing all the pulleys on the EA motor would be interesting.

I have not heard of people that have done complete EJ conversions finding a great increase in there air con afterwards and thats using the EJ compressor. I think the main problems with the brumbys and MY wagons is the vent and fan system in them is shocking.

I think all that needs to be done is wire the compressor up, and get someone to change the fittings on the hoses so they all match up. I need to do the same in my L series on of these days.

Yeah sorry... i miss read the original post... it's not hard.... but it is still far from what i would call good air con.

One of the guys in the club wired a extra switch that over rides the resistor that gives the 4 speeds of fan power.Cold air blasts out of there now.Ej in L.

I thought about building a 24v variable dc-dc converter and connecting it up to the fan!

I think you will find that the EJ evaporator my snugly fit in the EA housing but the holes inthe firewall will be in a slightly different spot. NOW i havent done this to my Brumby yet but have had both units in my hand and was more open thinking about it.

thanks for the replies but i am still interested in whether the EJ condenser can be fitted in front of the radiator on a brumby without to much cutting or should i try and get a new brumby condenser

some radiater shops have a whole bunch of condensers maybe have a chat to one of those guys.

I think you will find the EJ condensor is a bit to wide to go in the MY. I think there is an issue with the outlets too.
