G'day guys,
I've got a 91 DL wagon with a very well-worn clutch. I've been quoted $800+ for a new clutch and cable fitted by a very respected mechanic here in adelaide, striking the fear into me.
Does anyone know of any other options in the adelaide area? I know that clutches don't come cheap, but I'm hoping somewhere can ease the pain a little...
Cheers!

Get in contact with some adelaide people, get a clutch disc (or the plate and disc) sorted and organise a weekend bbq to do it your self, the hardest part is lining the clutch disc up properly to fit the gearbox input shaft to it - takes some fiddling around when your putting the engine back in.
If you have a spare hydrolic lifter, use this in the clutch to line up the disc, you'll see what i mean, it works a treat.
This will save you a few hundred dollars, depending on how much you guys drink over there...
Hope this is of some value to you.
Cheers
