Certainly is an 'extreme' Vortex. I could be wrong but have the just stuck the Vortex body onto another vehicles separate chassis?

I think it would certainly be possible. Cost a lot I would think and it would be best to contact an engineer before you started to see what was required.

There where some old Conformadores in the 1980s that had Hilux chassis bolted on. Rego was probably easier then, however!

Yeah there are places that will do a professional "conversion". Kindof like the Overlander kits you see driving around underneath Kingwoods and even Commodore wagons. Basically just a hilux or landcruiser with a different body plopped ontop. Wonder how much respect you'd really command from staunch Subaru fanatics....

You should be able to get it registered. I have seen a mighty boy on a seirra chassis and there's a 1200 dato ute on something not original running around my area now.

Nil from me... that'll just encourage "real" 4wd owners to backup their taunting of subarus...

this is much sexier!

In a couple of hours of driving that thing broke two front drive shafts and blow a rear welded diff I think. Pretty amazing that's all that went with stock L suspension, box, and drivetrain with the 300hp engine. I think it's on 33" boggers? hmm.

Yeah, the XT is on a chassis. I think it's also an XT6 with the 2.7L...
