Production 'Wheel Track' L-Series=_______?

Post by L-Raiser » Mon May 07, 2007 2:34 pm

Does anyone know what the Front and Rear Production (stock) 'WHEEL TRACK' is for the 'L-Series'...???

I am submitting my Application Form for 'Vehicle Modification' soon and this is the last thing I need.

Warm regards,

Karen

Wheelbase 2581 mm
Track front 1461 mm
Track rear 1450 mm

What conversion have you decided on Karen? Found a decent mechanic to do it?

Hey Andrew, THANKS HEAPS for this info mate...! :D

Im putting in a 'Low Kms 1999 SOHC EJ25' with AWD Duel Range box and 2" lift kit and I cant WAIT to get it back finished. They start work next month!
I found a good mechanic to do all the work for me.

AS i measured the wheel track on my car today i got 1515 with 14". My handbook quotes
"tread" as "front 1,410 back 1,425" Where did the difference come from?

On this note, it appears that my wheel track is infact ~100mm wider than the quoted number in the 93 manual. Is the number quoted in the the manual the "manufacturers maximum"?

I believe wheel track is measured from the centre of the wheels, not the hubs. So fitting other then stock wheels would change your track?

quoted for truth. Yeah it is from centre of tyre to centre of tyre.

According to my "Supplement for Australia" L series book, i Quote "
Tread: Front - 1,410
Rear - 1,425"

This means from both the subaru l series owners manual 93 and the supplement for australia 93 L series, the results are the same.

L-Raiser you could always just ring RAC, they should have all that data on file.

....I didnt think of them...

I tried calling 'Subaru' themselves here in Perth, but they were as useless as 'tits on bulls', couldnt tell me anything! :(

When it comes to Customer Service like this, I have found Subaru rather dissapointing. I called them on a number of different issues similar to this and found them to be a waste of time....
