Nearing the end we passed a Landrover Defender parked by the track, it didn't seem that rough from there on so I kept going. Later on as I was out of the car checking the line around a particularly rocky section Mr Landrover appears walking back to his car. Turns out he had decided that the track was a bit rough so started his bushwalk early. We walked together back to my car and once he realised it was a Subie the tyrade started. "Oh, you've jacked it up a bit, that just makes them handle really badly on the road" I replied that no, it went very well on the road. He then peered underneath and began telling me how "pissweak" the Subie suspension was and that I was in danger of bending something as soon as I hit a big rock. Being a beleiver of the motto "Actions speak louder than words" in such situations I jumped in and left him to the sweet sound of a boxer EJ20T burbleing off into the distance while he continued his walk back to his super tough Landrover.
Here is a pic of one of the smaller bogs, in winter some look like they would swallow a car whole.
