Unfortunately the wrx has lost its boy racer toughness.
Subaru must have designed this to compete with the current boom of hot hatches, like the astra turbo, golf gti and the mazda3 turbo. I believe we will get used to it and it wont be long till somebody comes up with a bodykit to make it look tough again
Current rides: 2016 Mitsubishi Triton GLS & 2004 Forester X
Ongoing Project/Toy: 1987 RX Turbo EA82T, Speeduino ECU, Coil-pack ignition, 440cc Injectors, KONI adjustale front struts, Hybrid L Series/ Liberty AWD 5sp
Past rides: 92 L series turbo converted wagon, 83 Leone GL Sedan, 2004 Liberty GT Sedan & 2001 Outback

Bug eye syndrome all over again (is that guy still employed at subaru!), wont be long when sales plummet that subaru will have to go back to the ol drawing board. I dont understand, a change that dramatic wont keep WRX fans interested or upgrading, Might attract car buyers that have no idea about cars and just want a hatch. Sorry but I will never be a fan of the new one and it will never grow on me! Oober Gay!

(no offence to those that are that way inclined)

The decision makers at Subaru need to be committed.
If they wanted a hot hatch all they had to do was make one, I wanted to see a WRX "Hatchie".
Instead they chose to shoot them selves in the foot.
If i was a shareholder i'd be out for blood...

The hatch look is so passe.

How is the new Impressa going to stack up to the new Mitsi Evo X? They have the aggressive look down pat for a performance car.

Now mitsubishi are on the right track with their designs, except the interior is bloody awefull! What are subaru trying to do with their newly badged Mazda! (dont even think it looks as good as a mazda)

You're all on some wacky hallucinogens. Yes it looks more sedate and not exactly "rexy" but what I see is a beautiful engine, drivetrain and all new suspension in a more modern looking body

Contemporise.
