OMG!!! What have they done to it. Some one please tell me that it is just a proto-type. Civic arse end, chrysler grille, plastic IC. This has to be the worst Impreza they have ever styled. Disgusting. If they keep this sort of thing up EVO's will become even more popular than they are.
I am all for model changes and upgrades as long as they are actually upgrades. Why go and make a cult car look like some thing you would expect to see your grandmother driving. Take the bonnet scoop off it and it is a Festiva.
Mr. Subaru - please leave the Liberty alone.

Yep I agree, sad. What have they done? Looks soft and floppy, where is the hard mean lines of the WRX. WRX means power strength, an extension of your own body. That thing does not capture any of what WRX is. Does look like something my granny would drive, maybe minus the scoop... Looks Nissan Pulsar to me too. The Hatch looks just wrong. The front and rear look like they should not be attached to each other.
But I guess points need to be scored for getting out there and creating something new and tempting new markets. Just hope they don't loose all their loyal customers.
Well said BYB, leave the rest alone. And we thought Tribeca was a little weird.

At least the hatch has an impressive departcher angle. Brett can I pre-order a lift kit?
Tim weren't you also going to buy a Toyota Yaris?
(I don't like either design either - just horrible).

Copy of message sent to Subaru Australia.
Hello, I have been a Subaru enthusiats since 1979. I am a current member of the Subaru 4wd club of QLD and have been since 1992. I have mostly liked the vehicles you have been building until now. What on earth have you done to the Impreza and tried to do to the Liberty. What a God ugly looking car. I have had over 50 Subarus in my life and can honestly say that the one that is designed and due for release soon will NEVER be seen in my yard. I may as well go out and buy a Toyota Yaris. What has happened to the aggressive stance/look/appeal of the WRX? I would feel ashamed to show up at a day care centre in a vehicle that looked like that. Mr Subaru what have you done to us this time. Bring on the "bug-eye". It has far more sex appeal and it was a mistake at the time. Keep this design up and fans will be turning away in droves.

I recieved an email back from Subaru Australia today in relation to the one I sne them. Here is their reply.
Perhaps if other people put their thoughts on the new Impreza in writing and actually send it through to Subaru they may just start listening to us.
Thankyou for your email to Feedback Subaru.
Subaru constantly researches the global market to keep in touch with and
even forecast consumer demand. Subaru is a small manufacturer in global
terms and as such must be careful to produce a range of vehicles that
appeal to the largest possible proportion of their respective market
within their relatively limited production range. Subaru is continually
improving the design, specifications and features of each model to suit
the specific needs of our customers.
We appreciate your feedback and have noted your comments to the
appropriate people within the business, for the information of the
factory in Japan.
Kind Regards,
