Snorkel?

Post by theclick » Sun Mar 25, 2007 8:13 pm

Is there anywhere that makes a snorkel for 82's? (i realise this little use for them in most cases). I might be inclined to try and make one.

Provided you can route the air intake over to the passenger side, the LN106 Hilux one works well, as per Hatchie.

Not a huge amount of modification to fit one to a stocker though.... you guys should see what they do to get 100 series ones to fit on 100 series!

Also see this post... showthread.php?t=5124&highlight=Snorkel

I was led to belive that the snorkel i got is also available for the oposite side... i could be wrong though. I chose to have it on the passanger side in my case.

I have seen one for a Hilux that goes down the RH side of the car. I'd like to use the exsiting air box that takes air from that side.

Is the existing air box water tight?
