Getting around Water restrictions washing the car

Post by yarney » Sun Mar 25, 2007 7:04 pm

Cirlie and i went wheeling today got prity muddy, with water restrictions on in Brisbane its hard to wash the car :(

So we went to a fresh water creek on the way home drove in and used a bucket to wash the cars and didn't cost anything :)

The creek is normally about 300mm higher than is is there.

water restrictions have severly limited my offroading of late. I cant stand leaving my car covered in **** after a play in the bush.

I heard a briliant idea yesterday. buy a wheelie bin as a portable water tank and use that for car washing. either just with a bucket or plumb a pressure cleaner into it. I have been wanting to do something like this for ages but couldnt think of the right tank to use.

We will more than likely end up on restrictions too once Teflon Pete taps into our supply.

"Teflon Pete" now thats gold.

When we do a beach run we call in at one of the creeks under the highway to rinse the salt off
