3" lift aftermath
hiya,
just recently puyt my lift and theres a few provblems im trying to resolve myself due to the result of the lift.
1- how do i get my speedo working again?
2- how do i adjust the 4wd linkage? i have played around with one of the bolts and its loosened it up a bit but still sits in hi range 4wd when it should be in fwd.

Most peoples speedo cable can stretch far enough, just jiggle it around in the gromets enough to get a little more length on the in-car side then just plug it back into the back of your speedo - it will only have pulled out by a few mm.
Shifter linkages, there isn't really alot of adjusting that can be done. The problem will be related to you having old flogged out bushes in there. The best way to fix this is to get a new set of bushes for it. Odin Auto in Balcatta used to do a little kit with all the bits you need, costed me about $19 I recall.
I beleive there is a slightly dodgy way of tighening them up involving slotting the right sized bolt in inplace of the bushes but this isn't best practice.

Oh also make sure that your wiring loom at the front of the car (running under the radiator) is cable tied well clear of your radiator clutch fan!
