jap import EA82T engine

Last year put a EA82T engine from a vortex into my L series sedan , can see some sort of engine number , how do you tell what year the engine is from. Thanks.

casting marks on the block will help a little....whoosh, howl,slop,slop,creak- CLICK,hmmm, CLICK, ooh, stumble,creak,slop,slop,howl, whoosh (fights severe weather to go out to shed to look/confirm)

at the back of the block , number 3 , drivers side, find back corner sump to block bolt and straight up about 60mm is a year cast in underlined by a month. as car stands it is upside down to cater for down turned head inspecting from above
