while we are on the topic what do you guys with 3/4" breakers recommend?
I have been putting off buying a 3/4" breaker and 32mm 36mm sockets for ages. I now need a 1 5/16" socket so i think its time to buy a breaker bar.
I can probably od the lot in kincrome for about $100. I like their tools

Mine is an ex-hire one from Odin Autos.
They didn't want to sell it to me because it was the one they hire out, and they don't normally sell 3/4" drive stuff.
I said "okay well how much is the deposit cause I'm not intending on bringing it back".
They ended up selling it to me - $45 with a 36mm Sydchrome socket

Rattle gun wont do jack if your breaking breaker bars
you need single hex impact sockets, or you could go to a truck workshop and see if they have a 1" or 2" rattle gun hehe
but seriously i think your gunna have to cut it off

I have a dremel with some fairly aggressive stone tips.
Also have a set of cold chisels with a mallet...this might be okay with the bearings if you slam it aimed down the shaft, ie perpendicular to the strut.

ok...fuinally got it off
this is the order of things i tried on it
3 x sidchrome breaker bar...replaced on warrenty thank got
1 x kinchrome breaker bar...replaced on warrenty
4 x sidchrome sockets
2 x kinchrome sockets
the socket i made my super bar out of also decided to **** itself so no longer of any use
between all this i had used oxy each time to apply heat as well as a can of wd40 and silico spray
finally i got a big drill but and drilled right down the shaft on the nut then smashed the crap out of it and finally cracked it...twisted off by hand....
alli can say is THANK GOD it came off and is now back on the road in full swing
