I am bragging here maybe, but got to use a fellas mainline exhaust analyser the other night. Fix the trumpet like housing in the tailpipe with its O2 sensor in it, feed the wiring harness through a window, stick the LCD screen on windscreen, plug in power to cig lighter, select LPG analyse and off we go.
At idle (&2000rpm no load) with LPG we look for 15.5:1 air / fuel ratio
Found 15.2:1 and 14.9:1 ( a little richer than ideal)
lookin' for rich as 13.8:1 under hard load
got 13.0:1 at absolute hardest thrashing
I is happy having 'tuned' it meself, turning rich/lean screw to halfway on first install five years ago !
what a ripper piece of tuning gear for anyone concerned about mixtures (that they can change anyway)
It also helped work out why another fella was getting 20% better consumption on gas than on petrol -(should be other way around theoretically) the Rangey was leaning out from 18 to 24:1
Also NEVER want to drive an Old Rangey again - !!
exhaust analyser experience...wow !
I take it thats a carby engine you have?
Those figures look about spot on, well done.
I had my MPFI Turbo system checked by the same way, and came up with similar figures, not as lean at idle, would not want to go any leaner for turbo. I had an fuel pressure increased by adj fuel reg and additional fuel pump to get that figure.

this is the tool
nope, not exactly carby. Apologies, my sig has changed. I run an Impco lpg system through twin hitachis as the throttle bodies only. Impco J mixer and a 125 mixer feeding the quadthrottles. EA81 Brumby.
Definitely gonna be seeing this fella again when my other subes up and screaming so's I no do any damage mixture wise.
