Ok now for the serious stuff.
should i use the liberty headligt wiring and everything and just splice in the light connectors at the lights or just use the engine stuff and cut out all the other stuff like lights, a/c, and just keep the instrument cluster, iginition and ecu wires?

idealy i would like to just rip out the brumby harness entirly and make the car think its a liberty, or is that going to be too much of a pain in the ass? what do you reckon?

Hey Brumby Boy,
My theory is, leave the Brumby as close to standard as you can, so you know where you are when it comes to ripping the first mods out to put wilder ones in!!!
Daza.
:D

p.s. Daza wants a 2.5 now!

If you feel you can do it i would use the entire front harness off the donor car and use the donor steering column as well so you get the switches off the dash

If you can get a wiring harness for the liberty tht you are pulling it out of it would make life easier for when i get back in the ville. Converting to the liberty harness could be doable however would mean a lot of work mounting fuse box's relays and some of the below, points/questions. A few other questions..
Do you would want to convert the steering column to liberty as well so all the ignition barrel, indicator stalk, etc are the same.
Where are are you mounting the ECU? Glovebox, etc. (you will need to sort this out before you touch the harness)
What about fuel pump, wiring?
Lengths of harnesses? (i.e this is the back part, the wiring from the lights, etc)

Just to get you thinking....

And right a list of what is required as i am thinking of going down a similiar track in my ute. Insert evil laugh...

Looks like you have everything there, just use that loom in place of the Brumby front loom. If you need an Adaptor for the front Liberty to Back MY/Brumby i have them for $50 plus P&H

If you find any other ones for $300 let me know!!!
That harness should hopefully work as it is with some slight mods, i.e plugs to suit brumby inidicators, etc. If you can use the Liberty Steering colomn/cluster and dash(have a look and see how hard it would be, off the top of my head they would roughly fit) it should be easy as. Probalby a days work cutting and chopping plugs but. All you will need is the wiring diagram, which i am sure you could source.......your challlenge for the next couple of weeks.

hehehe dash swap. but unfortunatly it wont fit. liberty dash is considerably wider than the brumby. like a good 90mm wider. i wanna find the dash is this http://pic.hevre.co.il/Files/8FFA2CFBEC ... 66B357.JPG
it looks like a perfict fit.
the steering collum im not sure if it will bolt in or not. as far as the old light and wiper switches go, matt are you any good with fiberglass?
SWK i may just be interested in that harness adaptor ill see how i go.
