some people are pigs

Post by TW83 » Sat Nov 11, 2006 2:30 am

On of my mates (Matt) was working at a liquor store near Jandakot airport. When he finished later that night he walked outside to find the side of his previously straight enduro wagon smashed in. Some drunken fool from the nearby tavern drove into his parked car and just drove away!!! All the witnesses were the guys mate (coffin cheaters) and just told matt to fuck off when he asked what had happened. Cops said they cant do anything and he only has 3rd party insurance.

The damage is pretty bad, the right hand side rear suspension, axles etc all stuffed, door and wheel arch completely smashed in. At least a few grand to fix which is alot for uni student who can only work 15 hours a week.
He is thinking of wrecking it but it would be a massive shame as it is otherwise a damn good car.

I just can't believe the bastard just drove off!!!!

Get him to see if any of the nearby businesses have security cameras that may have captured it.

I alternate between perth and bunbury pretty regulary, bunbury for work and the conversion and perth for university. I am in perth at the moment for exams. Matt lives in south east perth somewhere, think it was off roe highway (Nicholson Rd?). He's going to make a post with photos sometime soon.

Time to go visit the pub with a hammer and a balaclava - some cracked engine side covers will
change the smile to a snarl real quick.

That's sh*thouse... I'd so cry if it were my car. Hope something gets sorted, i'd love to help out but there's a continent between us...

Good luck, i hope to see the "return from intensive care unit" photo album sometime soon.

All the best

The bloke it happened to

Post by Milla » Fri Nov 17, 2006 3:35 am

Thanx TW83 for the post
Yeah look some guy got pissed and then kicked out of the pub next door to where i work, drove off, lost control and side swiped my car (1992 EA82 L series Wagon).
I don't no wether to sell it for parts, sell it as it is, fix it or what.
As a uni student i can't afford to take it to a mechanic for a look ova, especially after getting it towed. Is there anyone willing to come have a semi professional look at it, to give us some guidence. out at thornlie

The worst part is the witnesses and evidence says it was another car exactly the same. I will put some Pics up later this arvo

Thanks anyone.

drunken fool likely to return to same watering hole, same time next week, in same car with damage evidence still on display. Could be worth a look.

Cops can't do anything until this guy or girl gets caught causing more harm.

Just real lucky you weren't just getting in/out your car when this prick came by !!
