Air Con working intermittently
Having this intermittent problem with my A/C. Sometimes (increasingly more often) when the A/C is on, there is no cooling effect, the compressor is definitely engaged, as you can feel it load up the engine, but it just doesn't cool. Sometimes you can turn it back off, and then back on and it is fine, othjer times it just doesn't want to know about it for 10-15 minutes or so.
Ideas?
Onyl other history of problems I've had was on New Year's day this year. It was 46oC and at 110km/h on freeway with 5 people in car it just didn't cool at all. (was there a worse day for this to happen?) Slowed down to 80km/h and came back good. Just put that down to unusual load / weather combination).
This is a 92 Lib.

Gradually gets less cool over time..
The TX valve is inside the evaporator case in the car. The box next to the fan..... It’s a BIG job to do.

To close the issue, this ended up being the actual switch on the control unit. As replacing the switch requires replacing the entire control unit at about $600 from Subaru, I found an earlier model unit that worked fine at the wreckers for about $20. Will take it easy on the switch now...
