Just be aware that there is nothing wrong with original either.
There must be something wrong with the clutch set up or something as you should have gotten way more then 6 months – even with a constant hammering you would get more then 6 months, make sure that it is fully engaging.
Either that or dare I say it have a look at your driving style, maybe your slipping the clutch way to much or something.

Insufficient clamping pressure. Clutch slips -> Dead clutch

Yes you need clamping pressure. If you get an expensive heavy duty clutch you also have to match it with a heavy duty pressure plate to actually hold it against the flywheel without slipping. Even a racing puck clutch will slip without enough pressure on it.
I'm using a standard Outback push-type clutch on my EJ20(turbo). Well it used to be standard. The compound has been beefed up to a heavier duty organic substance but the main difference is the pressure plate has been modified from the standard 1000pounds to just past 2200. It's passed the 3month mark and still going strong! Heres hoping it goes the distance.
The work on this clutch was done by Autoclutch in Osborne park.
