I would like to see the video but refuse to use real player. Any way it can be seen with some thing else?

As craigus said use real alternative, then they just play in media player

http://www.free-codecs.com/download/Rea ... native.htm

I use this and the quicktime alternative, can't stand the actual programs.

Sorry about real player, I didn't think it would cause a drama. The smallest My editing software will compress Media player or streaming, mpeg was over 75 meg ( plus I didn't have any webspace to put it) I have never had any probs with using real player before. I am quite happy to send any raw AVI or MPEG on cd or dvd.

Just costs. Bag / disk box, postage and disk etc...I take it that you saw what you specifically want... did you just want raw footage or the HQ version as in the Vid?

By the way, If anyone has any Vid they think that would be good to add in ( and memorable stills) that can also be put in, maybe make 1 good vid and sell it , with proceeds to the board... just an idea

Nice work, good to see some of the antics and mischief people got up to ;)

Just a couple of tips on the video, a de-interlacing filter in something like virtualdub would remove the lines you get on fast motion and wipes and encoding with something like xvid may give you better quality for small files.

I hadn't worried about the quality too much, as I don't usually use editing programs that handle compressed files. This was only a 16 bit mpeg2 file, and have not had much success with the 16 - 32 bit convesion in virtualdub. ( it normally runs 32bit) The software that I used doesnt have much in the way of low end features, as it is more geared for professional use. I was just trying to get the compresion size vs visual detail ratio some where close, as the file size was fairly big.

If I was spending some time on it, I would really do it properly, but thought this ok for a forum link. I wasnt too hapy with the filters that I did use tho, as it was set to auto. ( truth be known, I just wanted to get it up )

It was certainly a good day and the "play pen" was a top spot for spectators.

You can get Real Player for the Mac, not sure if there are less evil alternatives available:

Does anyone know where I can host an 80meg file for free and ill upload a file to suit media player. - or ill chop the briefing out and see what it comes to in size. It seems not many people have or like real player.
